Hello parents! Here is what is going on this week in Buffalo football.

Saturday (17th): Junior Varsity – Away, up in Ft Collins vs Poudre at Poudre High School at 9:00am

Away game transportation instructions will go out later this week. Make sure you have subscribed to our calendar to get updates on events.

Varsity game helpers needed for banners. We need 2 persons, who are planning to attend the game, to help us unroll, hang, then pack up banners at our home games. This will take less than 10 minutes. The banner roll is only 10 lbs with 10 banners total. We secure it with small bungie hooks to the fence. Please check the SignUp Genius to help us out.

Fan gear. Wow! Thank you for your support with our transition to Fan Gear online! We ran out of some items, and back orders will be filled ASAP. We are also taking pre-orders on some new polo shirt designs. All orders can be placed and picked up on Thursdays at Smoky, in the senior parking lot, from 5:00pm – 6:30pm. If you’d rather get it at your front door, you can pay a small $5.00 shipping fee.

Our final check in for Buff Cards will be October 15th, Thursday. All players will get an update to total sales (turned in and online) along with several reminders via HUDL. It is on the calendar. We need to get back all of the collection envelopes and all unsold cards. Players who have not turned in their collection envelopes and unsold cards WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PRACTICE.

Fan reminders:

For all games, please enter the stadium by 7:45 PM. Please make sure you practice social distancing in the stands. The home side is visible on the stream and the Superintendent watches to see how it is going, and to watch our teams.

Please remember why we are doing this. In order for us to continue to play, ALL spectators must wear a mask at all times. Failing to wear a mask could mean the end of our season. Also, please use APPROPRIATE language at games. This is the time to support ALL of our athletes and coaches, they have worked hard to have this opportunity and would like to have an enjoyable experience.

This is a good time to review the “A Better Way” program. It may help you allow your athlete to have a better experience. A Better Way: click here

In order to continue playing games we all have to do a much better job at making sure we are following Covid guidelines. The Athletic Directors office and Smoky security officers have asked us to remind all parents to DO A BETTER JOB wearing your masks. The number of hospitalizations has increased last week. Mask wearing is proven to provide adequate protection against the spread of the virus. Masks must cover your mouth and nose. Referees can penalize teams up to 15 yards for repeated mask violations. Let’s all do out part so we can continue to have games played. Please stay positive, and show respect at the games.

In addition, fans are reminded that bad language and aggressive outbursts will not be tolerated. Fans who use bad language or are overly aggressive can easily be seen by security staff and may be banned from attending future games.

Thank you parents and fans for your continued support of the Buffaloes Football program! #HillYeah!
